HB3952 Summary

• Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow the Secretary of State to reinstate driving privileges suspended or revoked under Section 6-206 if vision was impaired exclusively by sun glare and the incident would not have occurred otherwise.

• Requires proof that the driver was not otherwise impaired, distracted, or inattentive in violation of traffic laws at the time of the incident.

• Requires proof that the person was not charged with any traffic violations in the 12-month period before the accident or after it (except charges directly resulting from the incident).

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
