• Amends the Public Safety Employee Benefits Act to require employers to pay full health insurance premiums for law enforcement, correctional, correctional probation officers, and firefighters who suffer catastrophic injuries or are killed in the line of duty.

• Coverage extends to the injured/killed employee's spouse and dependent children up to age 25 if still dependent or a full-time/part-time student; surviving spouses retain coverage until remarriage.

• Requires employers to offer covered individuals a choice of any health insurance plan available to currently employed full-time public safety officers and firefighters, excluding supplemental benefits.

• Makes it a Class A misdemeanor to knowingly make false statements to obtain coverage; violators forfeit benefits and must reimburse the employer for all paid benefits.

• Coverage applies only when injury or death results from fresh pursuit, emergency response, unlawful acts by others, or criminal investigation; does not limit other available health insurance or pension benefits.
