Requires the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to designate one or more health care telementoring entities through an application process, with applicants demonstrating expertise and success in providing telementoring services

Approved Illinois-based telementoring entities become eligible for state funding, calculated based on the number of physicians assisted and hours of assistance provided

Defines health care telementoring as interactive video technology programs connecting community health providers in urban and rural underserved areas with specialists for real-time collaborative sessions

Programs must be designed around case-based learning and mentorship to help local providers gain expertise in delivering needed services

Covered specialty areas include adolescent health, Hepatitis C, complex diabetes, geriatrics, mental illness, opioid and substance use disorders, maternity care, childhood adversity and trauma, and pediatric ADHD
