IL HB4319

Allows county boards, township boards of trustees, and city councils to waive fees and costs for permits, inspections, and certificates of occupancy for construction, reconstruction, repair, demolition, and related activities on damaged properties.

Applies to manufactured homes, buildings, dwellings, and structures (commercial or residential) damaged by disasters, emergencies, weather events, or other circumstances deemed warranted for public safety and community recovery.

Defines "disaster" to include natural or technological causes such as fire, flood, earthquake, wind, storm, epidemics, hazardous materials spills, drought, explosions, riots, hostile military action, public health emergencies, and acts of domestic terrorism.

Authorizes local governing bodies to waive fees through resolution when they determine such action serves the interests of public safety, welfare, and community recovery.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
