Reduces standard vehicle registration fees by 50% for veterans of the United States Armed Forces, effective January 1, 2021, for passenger motor vehicles of the first division and motor vehicles of the second division weighing not more than 8,000 pounds.

Applies to Illinois vehicle owners who have been identified as veterans under Section 6-106(e) of Illinois law, beginning with the 2022 registration year.

Does not prevent application of existing registration fee waivers for active-duty or reserve military members who can provide proof of serving in a combat mission.

Maintains existing provisions for active-duty military personnel stationed abroad for 90 days or longer to receive a 50% fee reduction, and for those stationed abroad for 6 months or longer to receive credit for unused registration portions.
