IL HB4693

Amends the Local Government Officer Compensation Act to require county elected officers' compensation be fixed by ordinance or resolution of the county board or board of county commissioners.

Requires the ordinance or resolution to separately list each stipend an elected officer is expected to receive in addition to county-paid compensation.

Specifies that listed stipends must include those expected under Property Tax Code sections 3-40 and 4-20, Counties Code sections 3-10007, 4-2001, 4-6001, 4-6002, 4-6003, and 4-8002, and Clerks of Courts Act section 27.3.

Maintains existing requirement that compensation be fixed at least 180 days before officers' terms begin.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
