Expands the Illinois Freedom to Work Act to prohibit covenants not to compete for all employees, rather than only low-wage employees.

Removes the wage-based definition of "low-wage employee" and replaces it with a broader definition of "employee" as any individual permitted to work by an employer.

Declares all covenants not to compete entered into after the effective date of this amendatory act illegal and void.

Applies the prohibition to agreements that restrict employees from working for another employer for a specified time period, in a specified geographical area, or performing similar work elsewhere.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
