IL HB4800

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to increase the income threshold for child care assistance eligibility beginning in State Fiscal Year 2021 to 225% of the federal poverty level for each family size.

Prior to this change, the threshold was 185% of the federal poverty level for most applicants and recipients seeking eligibility determinations or redeterminations.

Applies to all applicants and recipients applying for initial determinations or redeterminations of eligibility for child care assistance under the Department of Human Services' Child Care Assistance Program.

Takes effect July 1, 2020.
