Requires wireless carriers to provide, install, and maintain bidirectional amplifiers in schools at no cost upon written request from a school administrator.

Bidirectional amplifiers must support radio and wireless telephone communications for public safety providers (police, fire, medical emergency) in frequency ranges 806-816 MHz and 856-866 MHz throughout school structures where students are present.

Applies to public school districts, charter schools, and private schools providing general educational services.

Wireless carriers must complete installation within 60 days of receiving a written request from a school administrator.

Willful violations are subject to penalties and sanctions under Article XIII of the Public Utilities Act, enforced by the Illinois Commerce Commission.
