Department of Public Health must adopt rules by January 1, 2021 requiring remote monitoring and support services at community-integrated living arrangements under the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act.

Department of Healthcare and Family Services and Department of Human Services must jointly submit a federal waiver or State Plan amendment application to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services within 60 days of the law's effective date.

Remote monitoring and support services must be authorized as a waiver-reimbursable service for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and seniors requiring in-home care.

The act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
