IL HB5080

Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law to require the Department of Public Health to conduct a study evaluating the mental health impact on Illinois' immigrant community from the threat of federal removal action.

Requires the Department to conduct the study in consultation with private and public entities that provide health care services to Illinois' immigrant community.

Mandates the Department report its findings to the General Assembly on or before January 1, 2022.

Study is subject to appropriations and takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
