Prohibits stores in Illinois from selling or distributing disposable food service containers made wholly or partly of polystyrene foam beginning January 1, 2022.

Defines "disposable food service container" as single-use serviceware including takeout containers, packaged meat/eggs/bakery products, and leftover containers.

Defines "polystyrene foam" as blown polystyrene and expanded or extruded foams using styrene monomer.

Applies to all retail establishments including convenience stores, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, farm stands, and temporary businesses.

Directs the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency to adopt rules implementing the ban.
