• Amends the School Code to require school principals to grant Child Protective Investigators reasonable access to students for interviews at school regarding suspected abuse or neglect allegations by custodial parents or guardians.

• Allows investigators to interview students without first obtaining parental consent or notifying parents of the interview.

• Amends the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act to establish the same requirements for investigator access to children at schools during abuse or neglect investigations.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
