Illinois State Police directed to review and evaluate its duties to determine effective use of Rapid DNA technology and recommend improvements to Illinois' DNA submission laws by September 30, 2019.

Examination must include equipment, procedures, staffing levels, required legislation, administrative rules, funding, and IT infrastructure needed for full compliance with the federal Rapid DNA Act of 2017.

Illinois State Police may consult with Department of Innovation and Technology, Department of Corrections, and state and local law enforcement agencies to identify barriers and funding needs for implementing Rapid DNA instrumentation statewide.

Illinois State Police Division of Forensic Services directed to take all steps possible to achieve compliance with the federal Rapid DNA Act of 2017 on the statewide crime lab level.
