Creates the Illinois Route 53 Expansion Land Alternative Use Task Force to study alternative uses of land designated for Illinois Route 53 expansion into Lake County

Task Force will examine cost, feasibility, and environmental impact of alternative land uses including potential flooding impacts; short and long-term economic impacts to the region; and funding options for alternative uses

Task Force composed of 18 members including legislative leaders, state agency directors (Transportation, Natural Resources, Environmental Protection), Lake County representatives, mayors of Long Grove, Hawthorn Woods, Mundelein, and Grayslake, and representatives from sustainability, livability, environmental, tourism, and conservation organizations

Task Force shall meet a minimum of four times and submit recommendations to the General Assembly and IDOT before December 31, 2020, after which the Task Force is dissolved

Department of Natural Resources provides administrative support; Department of Transportation and Illinois Tollway must provide all requested information to the Task Force
