Designates April 2019 as Sikh Awareness and Appreciation Month in Illinois.

Recognizes that Sikhs have lived in the United States for over 100 years and worked in farms, lumber mills, mines, and railroads during the early 20th century.

Notes there are approximately 500,000 Sikh Americans nationwide and 25,000 in Illinois, with Sikhism being the fifth-largest religion in the world with over 30 million adherents.

Acknowledges Sikh Americans' contributions to Illinois and the United States in agriculture, information technology, small business, hospitality, trucking, medicine, and military service.

Directs delivery of suitable copies of the resolution to the Sikh Religious Society.
