Michael R. "Mike" Manno of Lansing passed away on June 21, 2020, at age 68.

Served as a police officer for Lansing from 1978 to 2002, earning recognition as Midwest G.R.E.A.T. Officer of the Year in 2001 by the Department of Justice.

Held leadership roles as Village of Lansing trustee beginning in 2013, School District 171 board member, and coached youth sports for over 25 years while directing multiple community organizations.

Won the prestigious Athena Award in 2018 from the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce as the first male recipient, honoring professional excellence and community service.

The Illinois House of Representatives expresses condolences to his surviving wife Kathleen, three daughters, granddaughter, and extended family.
