Kurt Robert Heilemann of Portland, Oregon, formerly of Glenview, Illinois, passed away on July 21, 2020.

Heilemann graduated from Glenbrook South High School in Glenview, where he was captain of the wrestling team, senior class president, and prom king.

He was a prominent figure in Portland's food and wine scene for 20 years and co-owned the restaurant Davenport, whose wine program was a James Beard Award semifinalist in 2019.

The Illinois House of Representatives mourns his passing and extends condolences to his surviving family members: mother Rosemary Heilemann, sister Anne Remington, and numerous extended family members.
