Congratulates Commander Kathleen Shaughnessy on her retirement from the Park Ridge Police Department after serving since July 1990 as Criminal Investigations Commander.

Recognizes her more than 30 years of service to the department and city, including receipt of more than two dozen awards and commendations for her investigative skills and hard work.

Acknowledges her implementation of an investigative call back program and leadership in training and certifying investigators and evidence technicians in expanded skills.

Notes her notable work in large-scale event coordination, including annual July 3rd fireworks shows coordinated with the Rosemont Police Department, and her strategic leadership serving approximately 37,000 Park Ridge residents.

Directs that suitable copies of the resolution be presented to Commander Shaughnessy and the Park Ridge Police Department as a symbol of esteem and respect, with a retirement reception scheduled for August 3, 2020.
