Illinois House of Representatives mourns the death of Deidre Lynn "Dee" Lee, who passed away on October 2, 2020.

Lee was born July 26, 1960 in Harvey to Earlie Mae and Melvin Abbott; graduated from Thornton Township High School in 1978 and attended Columbia College in Chicago.

Co-founded Nehemiah Christian Center Ministries in Robbins in February 2001 with her husband Bishop Ronnie L. Lee; received Church Planter Training Certificate in June 2000, was licensed to preach in August 2006, and ordained as a minister in September 2010.

Served as Leading Lady in the State of Illinois alongside her husband, who was consecrated as Illinois State Bishop of the New Century Fellowship of Churches in August 2014 and served as Episcopal Prelate of Impact Covenant Fellowship of Illinois.

House extends sincere condolences to her surviving family members including her mother, husband, four daughters, grandson, granddaughter, and extended family.
