Congratulates Johnson County Circuit Court Judge James R. Williamson on his retirement after 45 years of public service

Judge Williamson graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1975 and served as Johnson County state's attorney from 1976 to 1978

Began his career as a circuit court judge on December 4, 1978 and served through 2020, presiding over trials in all nine counties of the 1st Judicial Circuit and serving as chief judge since 2014

Currently the longest-serving circuit judge on the bench and is recognized for impartial, honest, fair, and straightforward judicial decisions

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Judge Williamson as a symbol of respect and esteem
