Illinois House of Representatives congratulates Representative Terri Courtney Bryant on her distinguished service to the 115th district since being sworn in January 2015.

Representative Bryant earned six consecutive election victories and maintains a conservative voting record opposing gun control, taxpayer-funded abortion expansion, and supporting balanced budgets and ethics reform.

Sponsored Molly's Law, legislation providing civil and criminal penalty protections for families of violent crime victims, inspired by the unsolved death of Jackson County resident Molly Young.

Served as Chairperson of the Downstate Republican Caucus, House Republican Spokesperson for the House Judiciary Criminal Law Committee, and is a retired 20-year veteran of the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Representative Bryant was elected to the Illinois State Senate for the 58th District on November 3, 2020, to be inaugurated January 13, 2021.
