Congratulates State Representative Lindsay A. Parkhurst on her distinguished service to the 79th District and the State of Illinois.

Recognizes Parkhurst's legal career spanning 27 years as a civil and criminal defense attorney, including service as a Kankakee County Assistant Public Defender from 2005 to 2014.

Acknowledges her legislative accomplishments including advancing juvenile probation reform, Mason's Law for child protection, job creation initiatives, government transparency measures, substitute teacher shortage solutions, and child support reforms.

Notes Parkhurst's extensive community service as president of the Kankakee Society of Women in Law, board member of the Community Foundation, and volunteer with local educational institutions.

Recognizes that Parkhurst is leaving the General Assembly to continue public service as a Circuit Judge with the 21st Judicial Circuit of Illinois.
