Amends the Illinois Election Code Section 9-8.10 to permit political committees to use campaign funds for full-time or part-time child care expenses for candidates, officeholders, campaign staff, and volunteers.

Child care expenses are allowed only when necessary to enable individuals to fulfill political, governmental, or public policy duties, activities, or purposes.

Child care expenses may be covered regardless of whether the need for child care predated the campaign or term of office.

The amendment is declared to be construed as declarative of existing law rather than creating new authority.

The act takes effect upon becoming law.
