IL SB0088

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow employees of regional offices of education, intermediate services centers, school districts, and contracting agencies to transport students in first division vehicles (regular cars).

Also permits workers from child welfare agencies with open cases involving a student to transport that student in a first division vehicle.

Requires proof of insurance of at least $300,000 per incident and $100,000 per person to be on record with the employer of the driver.

Modifies Section 6-104 to create an exception to the school bus driver permit requirement when these conditions are met.
