Amends the Criminal Code of 2012 to create a new exemption from certain weapons restrictions for full-time, sworn, compensated firefighters

Allows qualifying firefighters to carry a pistol, revolver, stun gun, taser, or other firearm on their person in public or in a vehicle while on duty

Requires firefighters to hold a valid concealed carry license to qualify for the exemption

Requires approval from local government officials (mayor, city council, village president, or village board of trustees) before firefighters may carry on duty
