Amends Section 15-1503 of the Code of Civil Procedure regarding notice of foreclosure requirements for residential real estate.

Requires parties to send a copy of the foreclosure notice by first class mail to the municipality or county where the property is located, using a single address published on the municipality's or county's website or posted in their main office.

For cities with a population over 2,000,000, requires the party to send notice to the alderman for the ward where the property is located within 10 days after filing the complaint or counterclaim and file an affidavit with the court confirming delivery.

Changes the penalty for failure to send notice to the alderman from dismissal without prejudice to a stay of the foreclosure action, which can be lifted once proof of delivery is tendered to the court.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
