• Amends the Illinois Notary Public Act to create new Section 7-110 establishing that unauthorized notarization of election nominating papers, objection petitions, or candidacy withdrawal certificates violates both the Notary Public Act and the Election Code.

• Establishes additional penalties for persons performing notarial acts on election-related documents without authorization, beyond penalties already imposed under the Notary Public Act.

• Amends the Election Code to add Section 29-12.5 making unauthorized notarization of election nominating papers, objection petitions, and candidacy withdrawal certificates a violation of the Election Code.

• Subjects violators to penalties provided under Section 29-12 of the Election Code, in addition to any other penalties provided by law.
