IL SB1230

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections to add child pornography offenses to the list of crimes with restricted sentence credits.

Prisoners serving sentences for child pornography involving a film, videotape, or other moving depiction, or when the child depicted is under age 13, shall receive no more than 4.5 days of sentence credit per month of imprisonment.

Applies to child pornography offenses described in paragraphs (1), (3), (4), (5), or (7) of Section 11-20.1 of the Criminal Code of 2012, effective on the bill's enactment date.

Maintains existing restrictions on sentence credits for other serious offenses including murder, sexual assault, drug trafficking, and domestic battery.
