IL SB1235

Amends the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act to modify disclosure exemptions for Executive Inspector General investigatory files and reports.

Allows disclosure of investigatory files and reports to the head of a State agency affected by or involved in an investigation, in addition to existing exemptions for law enforcement, jurisdictional authority, the Executive Ethics Commission, and other Inspectors General.

Maintains confidentiality of Executive Inspector General investigatory files under the Freedom of Information Act, except as necessary for the specified recipients.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
