IL SB1282

Eliminates the prohibition on concealed carry licensees carrying firearms on public transportation (buses, trains) and at public transportation facilities paid for with public funds.

Removes the restriction that previously banned firearms from buildings, real property, and parking areas under control of public transportation facilities funded in whole or in part by public money.

Makes the change effective immediately upon the bill becoming law.

Retains all other prohibited areas for concealed carry, including schools, courthouses, hospitals, colleges, airports, parks, and establishments where alcohol sales exceed 50% of gross receipts.
