IL SB1406

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections Section 3-3-7 concerning parole and mandatory supervised release conditions.

Adds new subsection (e-5) prohibiting the Department of Corrections from discriminating against offenders based on protected classes under the Illinois Human Rights Act, including race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and other specified categories.

Maintains extensive existing conditions of parole and mandatory supervised release including restrictions on firearms, drug use, employment changes, sex offender monitoring, electronic device monitoring, and contact with certain individuals.

Establishes risk-based supervision levels with validated assessments determining whether offenders receive high-level or low-level supervision, except for specific serious offenses that require high-level supervision regardless of risk assessment.
