IL SB1435

Amends Illinois Election Code to change how presidential electors are allocated and vote, moving from a winner-take-all system to a district-based system.

Requires each political party to designate one elector for each congressional district in the state, plus electors at large, certified to the State Board of Elections.

Provides that the elector receiving the highest number of votes in each congressional district shall cast electoral votes for their party's presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

Provides that the two at-large electors receiving the highest and second-highest number of votes statewide shall cast electoral votes for their party's candidates.
