Amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act to exempt rest areas under the control of the Department of Transportation from the prohibition on carrying concealed firearms in buildings under control of executive or legislative branch officers.

Allows licensees to carry concealed firearms in Department of Transportation rest areas and buildings located within those rest areas, effective immediately.

Modifies Section 65 of the Firearm Concealed Carry Act (430 ILCS 66/65) to create the exemption for DOT-controlled rest area facilities.
