Increases the work day limit for retired teachers re-employed on a temporary or hourly basis from 100 days to 120 days per school year, effective July 1, 2019.

Maintains the $30,000 annual compensation cap for temporary re-employed retired teachers, with an alternative higher limit for those who retired with at least 5 years of service as a principal (daily rate for principals multiplied by 100).

Allows retired teachers who teach only driver education courses after regular school hours to work up to 900 hours per school year without losing their pension, subject to the $30,000 compensation limit.

Requires retired teachers to notify the Fund and Board of Education before accepting re-employment under these provisions, and requires employers to certify quarterly the employment status and compensation of re-employed pensioners.

Specifies that temporary or hourly re-employment under these conditions does not require pension contributions, does not create service credit, and does not constitute active membership in the pension fund.
