IL SB1623

Amends the Mobile Home Landlord and Tenant Rights Act to clarify the payment priority when abandoned or repossessed mobile homes are sold, requiring park owners to pay lienholders (including utility service providers) before distributing remaining funds to the title holder.

Requires park owners to conduct diligent inquiry (sending notice by certified mail to the tenant's last known address) for 90 days before forfeiting unclaimed funds from the sale of abandoned or repossessed property.

Mandates that park owners comply with the Abandoned Mobile Home Act when handling abandoned manufactured homes and personal property following an eviction.

Requires park owners to comply with Section 10.1(g) of the Abandoned Mobile Home Act regarding household goods and personal property in repossessed manufactured homes.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
