Licensed veterinarians are exempted from registering with and prohibited from accessing the Prescription Monitoring Program, effective upon the act becoming law.

Existing veterinarian registrants in the Prescription Monitoring Program shall be removed from the system.

Licensed veterinarians must report suspected fraudulent controlled substance or prescription procurement to local law enforcement agencies.

The Prescription Monitoring Program Advisory Committee membership is reduced from 16 to 15 members by removing the veterinarian position.

The Peer Review Committee membership is reduced from 11 to 10 members by eliminating the veterinarian position, while maintaining representation from physicians, pharmacists, dentists, nurses, physician assistants, and optometrists.
