IL SB1679

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to increase the income threshold for child care assistance eligibility beginning in State fiscal year 2020 to no less than 200% of the federal poverty level for each family size.

Defines "federal poverty level" as the poverty guidelines updated periodically by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under 42 U.S.C. 9902(2).

Maintains existing provisions that families remain eligible for child care services for 12 months without redetermination unless income exceeds 85% of State median income or employment/training status changes.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
