IL SB1694

Amends the Illinois School Code to allow school districts maintaining grades 9-12 to include a workplace preparation course in their high school curriculum.

Course must cover legal protections in the workplace, including protection against sexual harassment, racial discrimination, and other forms of discrimination.

Course must also include instruction on other protections available to employees.

School boards have discretion to determine the minimum amount of instruction time required to qualify as a unit of instruction under this provision.
