IL SB1712

Adds new exemption (kk) to the Freedom of Information Act protecting public bodies' credit card numbers, debit card numbers, bank account numbers, Federal Employer Identification Numbers, security code numbers, passwords, and similar account information from disclosure.

Disclosure of this financial account information is exempted when it could result in identity theft, fraud, or improper charges against a governmental entity or person.

Modifies Section 7 of the Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/7) to implement this new exemption while maintaining the requirement that public bodies redact exempt information and make remaining non-exempt information available.
