IL SB1738

Amends the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004 to allow reasonable attorney's fees and costs to be awarded to licensees, interested parties, or injured persons who successfully obtain injunctive relief against unlicensed practitioners.

Allows attorney's fees and costs to be awarded whether injunctive relief is obtained by consent or through court judgment.

Applies to cases where persons practice as private detectives, security contractors, alarm contractors, fingerprint vendors, locksmiths, or their respective agencies without a valid license or after license suspension, revocation, or non-renewal.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
