Repeals Section 3-805 of the Illinois Vehicle Code, which previously allowed owners of electric vehicles (first and second division motor vehicles weighing 8,000 pounds or less) to register for a reduced fee not to exceed $35 for a 2-year registration period.

Removes the exemption for electric vehicles from standard registration fee requirements by striking the reference to Section 3-805 from Section 3-806.

Electric vehicle owners will now be subject to the same annual registration fees as other motor vehicles of the first division ($98) or second division ($68 for motorcycles and similar vehicles).

Electric vehicle owners will also be required to pay the same surcharges as other vehicle owners: $1 for the State Police Vehicle Fund and $2 for the Park and Conservation Fund.
