IL SB2046

Requires each school district maintaining a secondary school to offer an early college high school program for students to complete within 2 school years.

Defines an early college high school program as dual credit courses allowing students to earn a high school diploma plus either an associate degree or up to 2 years of bachelor's degree credit from an institution of higher learning.

Makes students enrolled in the program exempt from paying registration, tuition, and laboratory fees charged by the institution of higher learning.

Makes school districts responsible for all costs associated with operating the early college high school program.

Applies to both regular school districts (Section 10-20.69) and high school districts (Section 34-18.61) under the School Code.
