IL SB2056

Prohibits individual and group accident and health insurance policies and managed care organizations from changing an insured's eligibility or coverage during a contract period.

Requires insureds to maintain protection and continuity of their providers, medications, covered benefits, and formulary throughout the contract period.

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to ensure the medical assistance program provides required health benefits including post-mastectomy care and other specified coverage under the Illinois Insurance Code.

Makes conforming changes to Section 5-16.8 of the Illinois Public Aid Code to reference the new insurance coverage requirements.
