• Adds Article V 7/8 to the Illinois Insurance Code creating the "Amish Workers' Compensation Pool Law" allowing religious sect employers to apply for exemptions from workers' compensation requirements.

• Permits employers who are members of recognized religious sects with established tenets opposing insurance benefits for death, disability, old age, retirement, or medical services to exempt individual employees from coverage by submitting applications to the Director.

• Requires applications include forms similar to IRS social security tax exemption forms, written waivers signed by employees, and affidavits from both employer and employee confirming their sect membership and religious opposition to insurance benefits.

• Grants waivers when the Director confirms both parties are sect members, the sect has made reasonable provision for dependent members for a substantial period, and the sect existed since December 31, 1950.

• Exempts employers from paying premiums, charges, or direct compensation for excepted employees on and after waiver approval, though the exemption does not apply to non-Amish employees and can be revoked if requirements cease to be met.
