IL SB2122

Establishes a community college apprenticeship grant program through the State Board to expand credit and non-credit education and training in high-demand jobs through partnerships between community colleges and local businesses or industries.

Requires grant prioritization for expanding apprenticeship programs to new populations, developing apprenticeships in new non-traditional sectors, and promoting greater inclusion and diversity in apprenticeships.

Makes grants subject to appropriation by the State Legislature.

Directs the State Board to adopt rules necessary to implement the apprenticeship grant program.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
