IL SB2270

Amends the Boat Registration and Safety Act to change when watercraft operators must display a bright orange flag (minimum 12 inches per side)

Requires the orange flag when a person is down in the water after falling off skis or towable devices, rather than during active towing

Flag must be displayed at the highest point near the boat's helm, visible from all directions, until the person re-enters the boat

Prohibits display of the orange flag for purposes other than signaling a person down in the water
