SB2539 Summary

• Amends Illinois mortgage foreclosure law to allow courts to approve mortgagee's fees and costs incurred prior to the foreclosure judgment but not included in that judgment when confirming a property sale.

• Permits the confirmation order to approve mortgagee's fees and costs arising between entry of the foreclosure judgment and the confirmation hearing under the same terms allowed in the note, mortgage, and Section 15-1504.

• Effective January 1, 2021.
