• Amends the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act to include fire protection services capital and operating costs as eligible redevelopment project costs within redevelopment areas.

• Fire protection cost eligibility applies only to municipalities with populations under 1,000,000 and excludes redevelopment areas located within transit facility improvement areas.

• Allows taxing districts' fire protection costs reasonably incurred or to be incurred within a redevelopment project area to be paid from tax increment revenues.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
