IL SB2558

Amends the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias Services Act to modify staff training requirements for home services agencies.

Allows licensed home services agencies to accept proof of Alzheimer's training completed at another licensed home services agency within the 365 days before a staff member's employment date, in lieu of the required 6-hour initial training.

Requires the training to satisfy the requirements of 77 Ill. Adm. Code 245.71, subsection (e).

Exempts staff who received at least 6 hours of comparable training under other licensure or certification requirements, and staff temporarily hired by nursing homes to meet statutory staffing requirements.

Mandates employers maintain training records and make them available to the Department upon request.
